Tonight's Toronto's Tribute Honours Roger Abbott and Don Ferguson for Support of Easter Seals Kids

Toronto, ON, December 10, 2008 – Easter Seals Ontario is proud to announce that Roger Abbott and Don Ferguson of CBC’s Royal Canadian Air Farce will be jointly honoured as the 2008 recipients of the prestigious Easter Seals Toronto’s Tribute Award for their outstanding support of Ontario’s children and youth with physical disabilities. This year’s Toronto’s Tribute Gala will take place on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto.

For the past 27 years, Roger and Don have supported Easter Seals Ontario and children with physical disabilities in many ways, from hosting the annual Easter Seals Telethon, since it débuted over 25 years ago and donating their personal time to promote the cause.

The gala evening that begins with a powerful soul performance by singer/songwriter Justin Hines, a former Easter Seals kid turned hit music star, whom Don and Roger have known since his teens. The Toronto's Tribute Gala will also feature the final live mini-performance of the entire Air Farce Troupe, including Luba Goy and Jessica Holmes. Guests can also expect a comic performance from musicians David Matheson and Maury Lafoy, better known to Air Farce's studio audiences as 'The Ground Crew'.
