Amazing Family Fun for Toronto's Easter Seals Regatta, Helping Kids with Physical Disabilities
Toronto, ON, June 28, 2007 – The Toronto Harbour will be a sea of smiling kids, as the Toronto Easter Seals Regatta at the RCYC gets underway, Saturday July 7th for Ontario kids with physical disabilities. The new Amazing Family Fun Regatta format includes sail boats, power boats and Easter Seals Children’s Cruisers, where skippers teach the art of sailing to Easter Seals kids, so they too, can experience the fun and excitement of crashing through the waves.
In its 18-year history, the Toronto Easter Seals Regatta has become the largest charitable regatta in the province and has raised over $4 million for kids with physical disabilities and their families.
Money raised will go towards financial assistance of essential equipment such as walkers, wheelchairs and communication devices, providing summer camping experiences at Easter Seals camps, as well as funding of Recreational Choices such as swimming and art classes.
